Welcome to the blog of Samantha Warren Weddings!

My name is Samantha Warren (Sam will do and is actually preferred) and I am an award-winning Maine-based wedding photojournalist who owns/operates Samantha Warren Weddings out of a colorful cape in Portland where I live with my husband, Kyle, and our two pointers, Alder and Nikon.

I invite you to take some time to explore my blog, which is updated often with good news and great views (usually of people in love but habitually of our hounds). If you love what you see, please do leave a comment, or contact me for my availability.

All my best,
Sam

Samantha Warren Weddings featured on Loon Lodge's new website

Photobucket

I was so honored when one of my most favorite venues - The Loon Lodge in Rangeley, Maine- asked if they could use my images of Leslie and David's lakeside wedding this past summer on their new website and in their wedding marketing materials. When I brought them the disc of images last month, I also brought a sample album I'd made to show prospective couples, and was so touched by the tenderness in which the owners so lovingly looked it over with.

This past weekend, Kyle and I had dinner at the lodge (if you go, get the crab dip) with his dad and the moment we walked through the door, manager Karen Seaman stopped what she was doing and giddily showed us the weddings page of the new site featuring a favorite shot of Leslie and David kissing on the dock. I think the images from the wedding speak to what makes this stunning spot so special, so check out Leslie and David's slideshow here and if you are looking for a rustically elegant lakeside wedding venue in Maine, definitely consider Loon Lodge (and of course Samantha Warren Weddings)!

And to bring some warmth to this cold snowy day, here are a few other pictures from Leslie and David's day:

A bridesmaid puts Leslie's veil in place in the same intimate pub where we enjoyed dinner on Saturday night. Every time I go there for dinner, I remember how beautiful Leslie looked that day, and how unlikely it is that my fellow diners would even imagine that a bride got dressed for her wedding in this very room, right between the four little tables and the bar. Check out this ceremony site, on the shores of Rangeley Lake.

The lodge, which was built in the early 1900s as a private residence, provides a beautiful backdrop.

Being pronounced husband and wife. Look at that buttery sunlight.

Perhaps my favorite image of the summer. Something about it I find very stirring.

The tent is also set up on the lawn, so guests can enjoy a very of the water as they dance and dine.

Looking back to the lodge (and the tent) from the lawn.

And as dusk fell, I found Leslie and David lakeside enjoying a quiet moment and their signature cocktail (Maine lemonade- lemonade, vodka, blueberry and muddled mint).
